Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Data Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Data Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient data in our electronic health records system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing medical records and coding data using ICD-10-AM classification system
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient data management
  • Participating in audits and training sessions to enhance coding accuracy and data quality
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a recognized clinical coding qualification (e.g. HIMAA) or a Health Information Management degree
  • Minimum 12 months experience in clinical coding using ICD-10-AM classification system
  • Sound knowledge of current Australian Coding Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
