About The RoleThis role based out of our Perth division involves attending customer sites to install, service and maintain fire protection equipment including hose reels, hydrants, extinguishers and other related products. You will be responsible for testing smoke detectors and providing excellent customer service and advice to clients on site.
- Servicing portable fire equipment on customer premises and recommending portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to comply with Australian Standards
- Providing excellent customer service and advice to clients on site
- Using power tools to install and repair portable fire equipment such as extinguishers and blankets
- Opportunity for overtime pay when travelling to remote sites
- Using a field service mobile phone application to plan and organise your schedule
Whilst previous experience in the fire industry is preferred, it is not essential as you will receive all the training required to perform your role at a high standard. If you have a service mindset and enjoy customer interaction, you can achieve the outcomes you desire.
- FPAS or Certificate II in Fire Protection is preferred or willing to obtain with in-house training
- Current Driver's Licence
- A construction industry white card (or the ability to obtain one)
- Some experience in a similar role where you are responsible for basic maintenance and/or mobile service delivery is desirable
- An appreciation of excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with clients on site
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work away from home when required – Remote sites
- Demonstrate efficiency through prior time and route planning
- Can prepare written reports and quotations where required
- Be a proactive member of the team
