Job Title: Financial Controller
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a complex manufacturing business as a Financial Controller.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support business objectives.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Supervise and support the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
- Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders during financial audits.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the organisation.
- Process improvement activities
A Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the business, including managing budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing financial insights to department heads.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA or CA) is mandatory.
- Solid experience in financial management within the industrial/manufacturing industry or a product/inventory related industry.
- Experience within a chartered environment - audit, business services (ideal).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
