Technical Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide subject matter expertise and maintenance support for Motorola P25 systems within the NSW PSN environment. The ideal candidate will have experience administering and maintaining complex network operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality technical services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level technical support as per established requirements.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of Motorola P25 Network management tools and architecture.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to test changes in configuration or software that may impact End User Devices.
  • Evaluate and resolve complex technical issues escalated from level 3 support.
  • Offer engineering support to broader NOCC, L2, and field teams as required.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to address any issues or concerns.
About You
  • You will possess an in-depth understanding of protocols, standards, and interfaces enabling interoperability between core elements or different vendors within a network's core or between networks and field devices (e.g., P25 Land Mobile standards).
  • Have advanced knowledge of DC power systems and batteries.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analysis and fault-finding skills at a systems level.

Requirements:
