Job Description

As a Manager in the Data & AI team, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how KPMG delivers audit and assurance services through data-driven innovation. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead a team of data professionals to design and deliver intelligent, forward-thinking assurance solutions.

  • Shape and implement strategies for data analytics, AI, and digital transformation across audit engagements.

  • Support the development and execution of technology strategy and governance frameworks.

Innovation & Delivery

  • Drive the integration of AI, automation, and analytics into audit processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and insights.

  • Test, deploy, and refine new tools and technologies including generative AI, intelligent automation, and cloud-based platforms.

  • Oversee the development of data models, algorithms, and dashboards that provide actionable insights for clients and audit teams.

  • Lead development of Extraction, Transformation and Loading capabilities for key ERP systems

Project & Client Management

  • Manage a portfolio of engagements, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive audit technology solutions.

  • Contribute to business development through proposal creation, client presentations, and identifying new opportunities.

Technical Expertise

  • Apply advanced skills in tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL, Alteryx, Python, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure, and Generative AI.

  • Leverage ERP systems knowledge (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Xero, MYOB, NetSuite) to support data extraction and analysis.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data science, AI, and cloud services.

Team Development

  • Mentor and coach junior team members, including offshore staff, to build technical capability and career growth.

  • Deliver training sessions and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and manage project financials including budgeting, billing, and collections.

  • Ensure compliance with KPMG's data and AI standards and maintain high levels of audit quality.

What you bring

  • Proven experience in data analytics, AI, or tech consulting, with 2+ years in leadership.

  • Expertise in tools like Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Alteryx, Python, Power BI, Azure, and Generative AI.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems )e.g., SAP, Oracle, MYOB, Xero and NetSuite) is preferred

  • Proven ability to manage projects, mentor teams, and build client relationships.

Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
