About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Manager to join our growing Corporate Finance division in our Melbourne-based Mergers & Acquisitions team. You will oversee multiple projects and staff in a small cohesive team and will report directly to the leadership team.

You will have the opportunity to influence a wide variety of M&A projects with differing levels of complexity for various client types across a wide range of industries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead Advisory – end to end M&A and lead IPO execution (including target list, databook and information memorandum preparation, financial due diligence and data room management, participate in transaction negotiations and stakeholder management);

  • Work across sell-side, buy-side, capital raising (debt and equity) and strategic advice;

  • Take ownership of deliverables and complete them effectively in the timeframes required;

  • Manage, develop and work collaboratively with junior members of the team;

  • Build and manage client and stakeholder relationships; and

  • Assist with deal origination and the preparation of proposals, engagements and pitch documents.

About you:

You're a driven and commercially minded professional with a passion for corporate finance and a strong track record in M&A execution. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and are confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders. With a collaborative mindset and a keen eye for detail, you take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and mentoring junior team members. You're ready to step into a leadership role where your insights and initiative will make a real impact.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or Economics (CA or CFA qualification highly regarded)

  • 3–5 years' experience in M&A within a top-tier/mid-tier accounting firm, investment bank, or boutique advisory

  • Proven experience managing multiple M&A projects from inception to completion

  • Strong analytical, commercial, and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management abilities

  • High attention to detail and strong ethical standards

  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
