We are seeking a dedicated, and experienced Desktop Support Lead to join our global insurance company supporting and delivering service across both BAU and Project work in the APAC region.
Your Role
Your role as the Desktop Support Lead is responsible for undertaking analysis of business problems and opportunities presented to IT, supporting and delegating the Desktop Support and wider IT team to provide technical solutions, elevate enquiries, owning and improving existing processes and support the needs of all APAC customers.
Your Responsibilities
- You will act as an escalation point for tickets triaging via ServiceNow and level 1 helpdesk, to determine resolution or escalation path to other team members
- You will assist the Desktop Support Manager in driving service improvement initiatives and service request SLA's
- You will gain an understanding of business practices by liaising with users, gather business requirements for team initiatives with a view to automating processes, delivery of data, and reporting
- You will have the ability to lead, and delegate to others
- You will be involved in various projects and initiatives
- You will provide insight and input into planning, delivery, and transition of all key I.T. initiatives to Business as Usual (BAU) activities
Your Desired Skills and Experience
- IT Insurance background and/or financial services background
- Experience in large organisations
- Experience with large user base
- Strong knowledge of the ITIL Service Management Lifecycle
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Products including Windows, Office, Team Foundation Server, and SharePoint
