About the Role
Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
To provide best support you will have experience in providing high intensity daily personal activities (including complex bowel care) and manual handling (including hoist transfers).
To be considered for a role you must be able to commit to a variety of client session times across various suburbs. The typical suburbs and session availability is as follows:
- Menai: Tue 6-8am and 6-8pm; Thu 6-8am, 11am – 4:30pm and 6-8pm
- Gymea: Tue 8:30-10:30am, Wed 7:30-9:30am and 4-6pm, Thu 8:30-10:30am, Fri 4:30-6:30pm and Sat 5-7pm
- Cronulla: Mon 7:45-8:45am, Tue 8-10am, Wed 8-10am, Thu 7-9am and Fri 7-9am
Note, shifts will be paid at a minimum of 2 hours and you will be reimbursed 0.99 cents per kilometre travelled between client sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (including complex bowel care)
- Assist with hoist transfers
- Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
- Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
- Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
- Documenting and progress note keeping
Skills & Experience
- Experience providing High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
- Previous experience support people with disability in a home care setting
- Confidence and experience in manual handling and providing personal care
- Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Willing to complete basic household chores
- Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
