Job Description

The Operations Manager- Australia at Evercam will bridge the gap across Commercial, Technical, and Business Operations. This role involves arranging installations and maintenance visits with our customers and partners, sourcing new partners, managing commercial and business operations for the APAC region, solving business problems, and driving improvements. Confidence in direct customer and partner engagement, and the ability to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment, are essential.

Overall Role & Responsibilities:

The Operations Director for the AU region at Evercam will bridge the gap across Commercial, Technical, and Business Operations.

Externally, the role involves arranging installations and maintenance visits with our customers and partners, sourcing new partners and ensuring smooth installations, ongoing customer experience of Evercam and decommissioning where relevant.

- Responsible for continuous/daily monitoring, understanding & communicating camera uptime, downtime & any technical issues to clients (and relevant Sales & CS staff)

- Responsible for working with other Evercam functions & staff to ensure the first criteria is met

- Managing equipment stock & returns/warranty claims

- Up-to-date JOBS and Stock control and accounting software

Internally, the role is a leadership one which involves working with other senior Evercam management (currently GM APAC) to:

- Ensure smooth cooperation and integration of Sales, Operations and CS so that Evercam’s clients’ needs are served

- Communication with Sales, Product and CS so that all regional Evercam staff understand any Operations changes in process, hardware (functions & costs) and any limitations in the services/service levels Evercam can provide

- Liaise with Evercam HQ functions so that regional Operations’ processes & standards are in line, and where not a rationale for AU exceptions is agreed

- Liaise with Evercam HQ where HQ process & standards could be changed or improved based on AU Operations’ experience

- Work with senior regional & HQ management where current Evercam processes are sub-optimal to fix and then improve the internal (and external) Evercam machine

Business and Commercial Operations:

- Own and manage business and commercial operations in the APAC region independently. Key Points of Focus:

- Hardware profitability at time of sale

- Ongoing cost of client/camera management

- Uptime

- Time to fix downtime

- Develop and implement better ways of working, sharing insights with the wider company.

- Education of colleagues on the basics (& complexities) of hardware we use

- Education of colleagues on the basics (& complexities) of installation processes we use

- Changes to the Sales/CS process to make Operations easier/avoid problems in advance

- Installation and Maintenance Coordination:

- Organize installations, maintenance visits, and decommissions efficiently across the AU region.

- Track the costs of all of the above

- Customer and Partner Engagement:

- Communicate confidently with customers and partners, fostering strong relationships within the AU region.

- Operations as a key client interface

- Operations as a rationale for a client to work with Evercam

- Problem Solving:

- Address and resolve issues swiftly and independently.

- What could be done better in any way in anything that Operations touches or anything that touches Operations

- Partner Sourcing: Identify and establish partnerships within the AU region

- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with regional sales teams to enhance operational efficiencies.

- Onboarding: Proactively and reactively onboard Evercam onto key regional supply chains within AU

- Hardware and Software Solutions Improvement: Collaborate with technical teams to provide feedback and insights from the field, driving the continuous improvement of Evercam's hardware and software solutions.

- Proactive engagement with HQ on what AU does differently/better - two way engagement to change Evercam

Requirements

Record of overseeing the planning, scheduling and smooth delivery of multiple projects, including the allocation of resources.

Experience of recruiting, mentoring and performance managing a team

Proven ability to deliver process and service improvement in a fast paced environment.

Effective financial planning, budget and cost management

Ability to build relationships with enterprise customers, especially at a senior level

Previous experience in either a software or construction related company

Previous experience with reality capture/ CCTV hardware and software

Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience.

Solid experience in hardware and software installation, and maintenance coordination

Keen interest in technology with the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts.

Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners.

Initiative and independence in solving problems.

Confidence in personal judgment and decision-making.

Ability to work with limited support due to time zone constraints.

Experience in a high-growth, early-stage start-up environment.

Willingness to be actively involved across various aspects of the company.

Experience in managing and leading a team.

While this is a remote role, we are giving priority to candidates based in NSW, Brisbane, or Melbourne.
