We have an exciting opportunity for a Forecast Analyst to join our high performing and dynamic team. This role is based at our National Office in Mulgrave and reports to the Inventory & Forecast Manager.

The forecast analyst ensures demand forecast integrity and accuracy is maintained, interpreting/translating and validating the outputs of the demand planning team. Take an independent approach of reviewing the demand forecasts and provide exception-based feedback to merchandise, demand planners and inventory managers to make sure forecast accuracy targets are met.

Responsibilities

- Working closely with our Merchandise Planning team to optimise inventory levels and achieve financial KPI’s of sales, margin and stockturn.

- Support the business through improved forecasts and accurate reporting where you present key insights to stakeholders and influence decision-making.

- Own the merchandise relationship, drive enhancements in forecast accuracy and ensure continuous improvement throughout the planning function.

- Ensure clear action plans and mitigation strategies are generated through utilization of demand planning reports.

- Build key inputs and strategies for the Demand TIR (Total Inventory Review) which supports execution of the Merchandise Product Strategy.

- Build and nurture relationships with all key stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Qualification in Data Analysis, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Inventory, Supply Chain and logistics or related experience.

- Demonstrated skills in data analysis and reporting.

- Strong Excel and Power Bi skills.

- Experience within retail, wholesale or manufacturing.

- Effective and concise communication skills.

- Ability to present analysis and insights to stakeholders/clients.

- Excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical customers.
