Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at Goodwin Aged Care Services. You will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area, and ensuring the quality of catering services for our residents. Your role will also involve adhering to hygiene and food safety standards while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation and ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean and compliant with HACCP food safety standards.
- Prioritise and complete allocated tasks efficiently, ensuring a high quality of service.
- Follow infection control processes and report incidents to management.
- Support the chef in preparing meals for residents and contribute to improving overall operations.
- Maintain Goodwin's reputation for quality care and customer service.
- Serving of food during meal periods upto Goodwin standards

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Selection Criteria

- Certificate in hospitality and Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Experience in kitchen hand and dining room duties, with strong food handling knowledge.
- Understanding of hygiene standards and chemical use.
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with the team.
- High level of attention to detail, physical fitness, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
