Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics) to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

Your role

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

- Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
- Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
- Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
- Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;
- Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.

The essential requirements

- 2+ years experience on general aviation, Cessna, Piper, Cirrusaircraft (or similar type, e.g. turboprop aircraft);
- Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical), (Structures) or (Avionics);
- Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components.
- Strong team player;
- Ability to follow supervisory direction;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
- Passion for safe work practices;
- Valid work visa;
- Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
- Current Australian Driver's licence.

Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday day shifts, with some possible early/late & night shifts.
