The role
Within Consumer Protection, our Bonds Administration Branch manages the smooth operation of lodging and disposal of bonds for tenants and landlords.
As a Tenancy Bonds Team Leader, your remit will be to ensure the timely and accurate processing of bonds transactions and supervising staff in the provision of information.
This will involve providing support to the Tenancy Bonds Coordinator and Bonds Administration Manager, overseeing delivery of services, liaising closely with other Consumer Protection Branches and Directorates, coaching and mentoring staff, as well as a host of other key duties.
You will bring your ability to contribute to the development of those in your team or work area.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed‑term, full‑time or part‑time) within the department for the next 24 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.
Eligibility
To be eligible for fixed term employment you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia or have a valid visa to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term employment at the time of application.
To work for LGIRS, you must consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a clearance before you start. If deemed suitable, LGIRS will coordinate and pay for your NCCHC as part of your pre‑employment checks.
Qualifications and Experience
A detailed resume outlining your key achievements, work history, education and professional development and a covering letter of no more than two (2) pages, addressing the following role specific requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor a team in delivering high quality customer services in a busy work environment.
- Demonstrated computer skills in an electronic processing environment, including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Ability to respond to requests for information in a timely manner, manage own behaviour and work well in a team environment.
