Job Summary
The Dispatch Officer will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of finished products to clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This role involves working closely with the production, logistics, and customer service teams to manage schedules, prepare documentation, and monitor deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the dispatch of finished products to clients
- Schedule and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery notes
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, and clients to resolve any delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and delivery statuses
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align dispatch schedules with production outputs
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with staff to ensure availability of products for dispatch
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during dispatch operations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns related to deliveries
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
