Key Responsibilities:
Step into a dynamic, hands-on role as part of a high-performing team driving Australia’s steel manufacturing industry forward. Working on 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing:
- Fault finding and reactive repairs to plant and equipment
- Scheduled and shutdown maintenance works
- Technical support to production, maintenance management and broader reliability teams
- Improving the reliability of the assets by proactively supporting CI initiatives and activities
- Accurate record keeping of scheduled and breakdown maintenance within CMMS (SAP)

Ideal candidates will bring:
- Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control or equivalent Trade.
- At a minimum, a “B” class electrical licence. A dual trade (electrical/instrumentation) is a distinct advantage.
- Strong technical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience in manual and PLC fault finding, HV switching, maintaining equipment and installation.
- SAP or similar experience would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- A strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
- Ability to undertake a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol assessment.
Domestic Relocation included for those residing outside of Whyalla, which includes:
- Uplift of goods and relocation allowance (for individuals and immediate family)
- Travel and temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks)
- DIDO Option Available (for Port Augusta, Quorn or Cowell residents)
