Applications are now open for graduate teaching positions for the 2026 school year.

ELIGIBILITY

To apply, you must:

- Have valid Australian working rights
- Be completing a preservice (primary or secondary) teaching degree in 2025
- Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students
- Eligible to obtain Queensland College of Teachers registration

An increased Accommodation & Living allowance incentive of $700 per fortnight (increased from $350 per fortnight) is available to Graduate Teachers (fixed term or permanent) who accept a graduate placement at one of the following schools, for the 2026 school year: St Joseph's Mt Isa, St Kieran's Mt Isa, Good Shepherd Catholic College Mt Isa or St Joseph's Cloncurry. Salaries and incentives for rural isolated areas vary depending on locations.
