We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Teacher to join the collaborative team at St Mary’s. This is a fixed term position commencing Term 1, 2026 (January 27) and continuing for the duration of the 2026 school year (possibly beyond). The successful applicant will be passionate about student learning, wellbeing, and committed to contributing positively to our school community.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the capacity to:

Responsibilities

- Commit to teaching in alignment with the MACS Vision for Instruction.
- Embrace and implement an explicit instruction approach, drawing on evidence-based teaching and learning programs.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom that supports both academic growth and social-emotional wellbeing.
- Deliver differentiated instruction that is evidence-based and responsive to the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Uphold an unwavering commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Hold current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

St Mary’s School is co-educational Catholic primary school, located in the Bayside suburb of Hampton, catering for students from Prep (Foundation Year) to Year Six. The school has a population of approximately 242 students.
