We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Responsibilities

- Provide onsite/on-call assistance to end users within the desktop computing environment to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
- Coordinate with various technical groups to resolve issues, and fix remotely where required.
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes for general performance issues and application problems (e.g., login failures, installation failures).
- Collaborate with application owners (e.g., MS Outlook app owner) to resolve issues; escalate to vendors as needed.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on laptops (monitor, mouse, headset, phones) and manage Office licenses or troubleshoot related issues.
- Maintain knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, PowerShell scripting, and ITIL concepts; document all work in the ticketing system with details.

Qualifications & Experience

- 4+ years of experience in Level 2/3 desktop support.
- Windows 10/11 admin troubleshooting experience with Intune, cloud and thick client builds.
- Ability to stay current with Windows app and update release information; support for Edge/Chrome web applications.
- Cloud application support and collaboration with app owners; support for 3rd party applications (Microsoft, Java, Adobe); familiarity with AppV, MS Store Apps, and packaged applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including network-related application issues; knowledge of Microsoft Office and security updates.
- Experience with Office native and cloud applications; collaborate with Outlook app owner to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies; PowerShell scripting is required.
- Ability to coordinate with technical groups and fix issues remotely; strong client management and communication skills.
- Ability to perform compatibility testing of web-based applications with Chrome and Edge.
- ITIL concepts and familiarity with ticketing tools; accurate documentation of all work performed.
- In-depth knowledge of: Microsoft Office, PC/Laptop hardware, peripherals (printers).
- Basic knowledge of: Active Directory, Exchange, Apple OS, SCCM.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; strong customer service ethic.
- Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team; preference for simple, effective solutions.
- Ability to handle confidential information.

Industry Knowledge

- In-depth: Microsoft Office applications; PC/Laptop hardware and peripherals (including printers).
- Basic: Active Directory, Exchange, Apple OS, SCCM.

IT Qualifications

At least two of the following:

- PC/Laptop OEM Maintenance Certification
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) in the desktop area
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification

Experience in a similar role

- 3+ years of relevant experience.
