After hours work is almost exclusively telephone-based, low risk, and well paid.

Organisation:

The St Arnaud Medical Centre is managed by a husband-and-wife team of doctors, located within walking distance from the main town centre. The clinic collaborates closely with East Wimmera Health Service, and the successful candidate is expected to be employed by the health service under an agreement with the clinic to maximize benefits.

St Arnaud Medical aims to provide high-quality patient care with a holistic approach to diagnosis and management. We are committed to promoting health, wellbeing, and disease prevention. Our patient base is primarily an aging rural community. We maintain strong relationships with East Wimmera Health Service, Western Victorian Primary Health Network, and surrounding GPs for collaboration and support.

Opportunity:

We are seeking a General Practitioner Registrar to join the team at St Arnaud Medical Centre. The RVTS program supports recruitment to rural and remote communities with high medical workforce needs, including a four-year GP and Rural Generalist training leading to Fellowship of the ACRRM and/or RACGP. The program is fully funded by the Australian Government and aims to enhance workforce stability, continuity of care, and career progression for doctors.

Skills & Experience:

- General AHPRA registration or
- Limited/Provisional AHPRA registration (Level 3 supervision minimum)

Salary Package:

- Salary based on a percentage of billings, plus work with the health service

- Relocation allowance (if applicable)

About St Arnaud:

St Arnaud is approximately 300 km from Melbourne, within the Grampians region, near the Pyrenees Wineries. The town offers bushwalking, Queen Mary Gardens, the Railway Hub Gallery, Wax Gardens, and Silo Art Trail murals.
