Do you thrive on creating sharp plans and keeping a cool head when circumstances change? Do you enjoy ensuring smooth daily operations while also finding smarter ways to work by automating your own tasks? Then you could be our new Production Planner in the Supply Chain Planning team at FOSS.
In 2026, FOSS will relocate all Danish production, warehouse, and distribution activities from Hillerød to Frederikssund. As part of this transition, our production and logistical concepts will be redesigned to strengthen competitiveness and support the future growth of the company. This is a unique opportunity to join us at a pivotal moment and play a key role in shaping the future of our operations.
Your Role
As part of our Supply Chain Planning team, you will ensure that production runs smoothly while continuously improving the planning function. You will work closely with production management, supply chain colleagues, and in some cases IT to balance daily execution with long‑term optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Be a core service function by creating transparency and coordinating planning activities toward production and across the supply chain.
- Translate forecasts into actionable production plans and make planning decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Systematically solve deviations in delivery performance and other KPIs.
- Identify repetitive tasks in your own planning work and build automations (e.g., Excel macros, BI dashboards, AI) to streamline them.
- Drive process improvements and collaborate with IT when larger system changes are needed.
What You Bring
We imagine you as someone who first and foremost thrives with planning and providing a high level of service toward our internal customers, as well as curious and proactive about digital tools. You are service‑mindful, structured, thorough, and solution‑oriented, with the ability to keep an overview in a busy environment. You communicate well across diverse stakeholders and are motivated by optimization and continuous improvement.
Qualifications include:
- Academic degree within Operations or Supply Chain Management/Digitalization/Analytics (e.g. Diplom/Civilingeniør or Cand.Merc.).
- 1–3 years of experience in production planning and/or supply chain management (new graduates will also be considered).
- Fluent in English and Danish.
- ERP experience (SAP knowledge is an advantage).
- Experience with Excel and BI reporting or lightweight automation tools is a plus.
- Lean experience is a plus.
We Offer
You will join a dynamic team full of energy, collaboration, and engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands‑on planning with developing your own automations, while also contributing to one of the most significant transitions in FOSS history—the move to Frederikssund in 2026. You will have the chance to leave your mark on the future of production and supply chain operations at FOSS. You will report to the Supply Chain Planning Manager.
Excited about being part of a key function in FOSS Supply Chain?
Send your application using the link below. We will consider applicants on a continuous basis, so don’t hesitate to apply. If you have any questions regarding the position, please contact Rasmus Nielsen, Supply Chain Planning Manager, at rani@foss.dk.
