Overview

This is a Recruitment Pool for permanent full time / part time / fixed term full time / part time / casual appointments, with possibility for extension(s) and/or permanency for fixed term contracts and with an initial fixed term appointment for a 6 months contract. Open to applicants who are Specialist General Practitioners (with a FACCRM or FRACGP).

Position Profile

Position Title: Consultant - Physician Gen Med

Unit/Division: East Metropolitan Health Service > EMHS - CVC Home Hospital

Responsibilities

- Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist medical services to patients in the Home Hospital Department.
- Promotes patient safety and quality of care.
- Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education for doctors in training and other health workers where relevant.
- Collaborates with the General Medicine Lead and other Consultants to achieve national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets.
- Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.
