Site Manager (Pet Boarding)

At Kip Melbourne South East, the Site Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the site. This role blends hands-on pet care with strategic leadership, people management, and business operations. You/'ll lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional pet care, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and drive site growth and success. You/'ll enjoy access to support functions within our Head Office - we/'re here to help you succeed

The ideal candidate will be available to work hours between 7am-6pm on a Sunday-Thursday roster. Availability to work across all school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead, train, and inspire a high-performing team to provide best-in-class pet care.
- Work in the day-to-day operations of the site - must love dogs
- Manage site operations, including rostering, compliance, and facility upkeep.
- Oversee customer service, ensuring positive experiences and efficient bookings.
- Monitor and drive site financial performance, optimising bookings and profitability.
- Maintain site cleanliness, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Handle pet health concerns, incidents, and ensure clear communication with pet owners.
- Manage social media engagement, showcasing the Kip experience.

Experience & Skills:

- Previous paid animal care experience is highly regarded but not essential. If you have a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you
- Passionate about pet care, with a hands-on approach and a customer-first mindset.
- Must have previous experience leading a team of people.
- Management of site based operations is highly regarded but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and proven experience providing exceptional customer service.
- Passion for problem solving and high attention to detail.
- Time management skills, a can-do attitude and initiative to exceed outcomes and expectations at high quality.
- Quick learner and a willingness to get your hands dirty with on-the-job experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a cool head under pressure.
- Competent with computer systems with intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
