TeamKids is the premium provider of Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) throughout Australia. We exist to excite, engage and entertain children before school, after school and throughout school holidays.
Job Description
This permanent, part-time opportunity offers hands-on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.
Service Location: Located in Lilyfield in Inner West Sydney, this service is a pack up, pack down service with a dedicated office space on site as well as a functioning kitchen. The service has a program manager, DOS and mentor along with a welcoming community and a good relationship with the families. This service uses multiple spaces and children are split into age groupings to allow for differentiated programming.
You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday: BSC: 7:00am-9:00am; ASC: 2:30pm-6:00pm. Total hours: 27.5 per week.
The Role
Second in Charge (2IC) — you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.
- Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program.
- Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
- Play and have fun with primary school aged children.
- Support ensuring your program is compliant according to industry regulations.
The Successful Candidate
Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential — we can train you You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude. You are passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children, energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have fun.
- Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
