Hospitality Training Network (HTN) is seeking 4 passionate and dedicated Apprentice Chefs.
These positions are open to applicants interested in kick-starting their career or if you have already commenced your apprenticeship and eager to continue developing your practical skills. Location
With 4 exciting opportunities available, across different venues within the Club, this is a great opportunity to learn different cuisines.
1. Rooftop bar with a Mediterranean inspired menu based around food to share. Small plates / tapas, large plates and platters. All food is made onsite, from scratch, including desserts. Learning woodfire cooking as well as traditional methods, the Rooftop bar offers an exciting environment with house DJs.
2. LA PIAZZA - Offering a very large Italian restaurant. Hand stretched pizza, pasta and an abundance of seafood. Great opportunity to learn in a high volume, fast paced environment. Open 7 days lunch and dinner.
3. MARROW & Co - A top tier and newest venue, a classic Manhattan style steakhouse with onsite dry aging and 14 different cuts on the menu. Everything made in house, including desserts and some charcuterie items. Learn traditional European style including beef tartare, cheese souffle, creme brulee, beef wellington, chicken liver parfait, etc.
4. GREENFIELD BISTRO - Classic bistro style with a good mix of Western and Asian cuisine. A wide variety of house made products, weekly specials and buffet breakfast.

What’s involved
As an Apprentice Chef, you will be employed by HTN and hosted to our host employer, learning from qualified Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. Working with us allows you to learn and build experiences from skilled professionals within a commercial kitchen environment and learning different cuisines, become a quality chef. You will be working at one of our great host venues, working with large quantities of food and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Key activities you can expect will be:
- Food Preparation - Assisting with tasks like chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and measuring ingredients
- Cooking - following recipes and directions to prepare a variety of dishes, including meats, fish, vegetables and desserts
- Kitchen Maintenance - cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces
- Food Safety - ensuring food safety regulations and hygiene standards are maintained
- Learning and Development - completing required training modules and actively seeking guidance from chefs
- Teamwork - collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality results
To suit this role, you will be an eager and motivated individual with a passion for food looking to kick-start your culinary career You will have good communication skills, seek out opportunities to learn and show initiative in your everyday duties.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for an apprenticeship in NSW you must be either:
- Australian Citizenship
- Australian Permanent Residency
- New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months
