Join a collaborative, high-performing government legal team working at the forefront of the biggest infrastructure projects in Queensland. The team advises on and supports the delivery of major public projects - and yes that includes the Olympics
About the role
Opportunties now exist for planning (litigators and advisory) lawyers to join this high performing team that rarely recruits. You will be part of an established, close knit team working closely with senior internal stakeholders, external counsel and government decision-makers. Depending on your background, the work may include:
- providing high-quality, strategic legal advice across planning, infrastructure and development legislation;
- advising on related statutory interpretation, state and local government powers, administrative law, and regulatory matters; and
- managing planning litigation involving infrastructure and large scale developments on behalf of the Department.
About you
You will bring:
- admission as a solicitor in Queensland and 5yrs+ PAE experience in planning/environment law and/or infrastructure-related legal issues from either an advisory or litigation background (or a mix of both);
- excellent attention to detail; and
- a collaborative mindset and solutions-focused approach.
