
Business Development Manager

In this role, you will be at the forefront of expanding one of the most important verticals within the business, working closely with sellers ranging from small businesses to large enterprise partners. What you'll do:
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new sellers with a primary focus on expanding the Vehicle Parts and Accessories category through targeted outreach strategies.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by conducting outbound prospecting via calls, LinkedIn, Zoom meetings, events, AI tools, and other innovative channels.
- Accurately manage all outreach activities, opportunities, and progress using Salesforce CRM to ensure seamless tracking throughout each stage of the sales cycle.
- Guide new sellers through every step of account registration, store setup, and compliance with category-specific requirements to ensure their successful integration onto the platform.
- Collaborate with Integration Managers to recommend and implement solutions for inventory management, order processing automation, and listing optimisation tailored to seller needs.
- Coordinate comprehensive training sessions for sellers while providing actionable insights into e-commerce best practices that maximise their success on the platform.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with automotive software vendors such as inventory management systems providers or dealer management system specialists to streamline onboarding processes.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams including finance, compliance, legal, marketing, product development, and integration to deliver an outstanding seller experience.
- Promote the full suite of platform solutions by cross-selling and up-selling services designed to drive long-term seller growth and satisfaction.
- Contribute insights towards category strategy by monitoring market trends in automotive parts and accessories as well as adjacent categories like Refurbished or Collectibles.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in business development or sales roles within e-commerce platforms, marketplaces or retail environments where building lasting relationships was essential.
- Background or deep interest in the automotive industry—particularly vehicle parts and accessories—or experience working with OEMs, dealerships or aftermarket suppliers is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of developing partnerships with automotive software vendors such as dealer management systems providers or catalogue solution specialists is considered a strong advantage.
- Exceptional communication skills combined with negotiation abilities that allow you to connect effectively with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Experience managing complex sales pipelines using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), ensuring accurate tracking of prospects through extended sales cycles.
- Self-motivated approach paired with excellent organisational skills enabling you to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of key objectives or deadlines.
- Familiarity with leading e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify or Magento) or marketplace integrators would be beneficial for understanding seller needs more deeply.
- Technical aptitude allowing you to quickly learn new systems or tools relevant to inventory management or order automation processes.
- Knowledge of major online marketplaces—including but not limited to this platform—is advantageous for contextualising seller challenges and opportunities.
