Job Summary: Lead the teaching and learning team at Colyton High School, located in the Sydney Region. This position involves planning and managing the curriculum, overseeing professional development, and ensuring high quality education for over 750 students.

Remuneration Package
Remuneration package valued at $168,946.00. Base salary $149,059.00, plus leave loading and employer’s contribution to superannuation.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
- Successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
- Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policy.
- Demonstrated capacity to co‑lead the implementation of professional learning related to the school’s focus on explicit teaching and support staff at whole‑school, faculty and individual levels.
- Ability to support the implementation of High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programmes, including identification and planning to enrich student learning.
- Demonstrated capacity to use ICT to streamline processes related to teaching and learning and to enhance data analysis, making data accessible and useful for teachers.
- Demonstrated capacity to design and implement practices to improve curriculum delivery through innovative programme design and approaches to assessing student achievement.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
