Hairdresser – Pearl Salon, Boronia Heights QLD

Full-time | $75,000–$85,000 + Superannuation per annum

Key Responsibilities
• Consulting with clients to understand their preferences, recommending suitable hairstyles, treatments, and products that complement their features and lifestyle.
• Performing precise haircutting, trimming, and styling using scissors, razors, clippers, and other professional tools.
• Applying colour treatments, highlights, balayage, chemical straightening, and perming services while maintaining hair integrity and achieving desired results.
• Shampooing, conditioning, and treating scalps and hair to enhance texture, manageability, and health.
• Creating and maintaining modern and traditional hairstyles, including braiding, up-styles, hair extensions, and special-event looks.
• Offering beard trimming, facial hair styling, and grooming services as required.
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene by sanitising tools, workstations, and equipment after each client service.
• Maintaining stock control, replenishing salon products, and assisting in retail sales by recommending appropriate home-care products.
• Booking client appointments, managing schedules, processing payments, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations when required.
• Staying current with new trends, colour techniques, and styling innovations through continuous professional development and training.
• Assisting with salon promotions, photoshoots, and marketing initiatives to showcase the salon’s creativity and attract new clients.
• Supporting a positive team environment by sharing knowledge, collaborating on ideas, and contributing to the overall success of the salon.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a qualified Hairdresser.
• Hold an AQF Certificate III (including at least two years of on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV in Hairdressing or a related field.
