About the role

The Queensland Hairdressing Academy is seeking a talented and experienced Educator in Hairdressing and Barbering to join our team. As an Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality hairdressing education and training to our students, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry.

You MUST have a current Cert IV, TAE qualification and be based in Brisbane.

This role requires travelling to Salons and delivering training to apprentices in the workplace.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver engaging and practical hairdressing lessons and demonstrations to students
  • Assess and provide feedback on student progress, ensuring they meet the required standards
  • Develop and maintain curriculum materials, training plans, and training resources
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest hairdressing techniques, trends, and industry regulations
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students
  • Contribute to the overall success and development of the hairdressing program

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in hairdressing, including a Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent and absolutely MUST have the current TAE qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a hairdresser in a salon or similar setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A passion for hairdressing and a commitment to continuous learning and development
  • You must have a safe roadworthy vehicle.
