Overview

We/'re seeking a trade qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team based in our Erskine Park, Sydney Workshop on a full time basis. Working a Monday to Friday, afternoon shift starting at 2.00pm until 12.00am, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional looking for work-life balance while still making a significant impact in the transport industry.

Responsibilities

- Safe Always – Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Repair - Repairing, replacing, and diagnosing issues across a variety of fleet vehicles (prime movers, rigids, trailers); performing major repairs including rebuilds, midlifes, and brake/bearing overhauls; servicing vehicles according to the company schedule.
- Documentation & Compliance - Accurately completing maintenance and repair documentation.
- Breakdown and Emergency Support - Attending to vehicle breakdowns as part of a roster.

What You’ll Bring

- Mechanical Trade qualification
- Demonstrated experience post apprenticeship
- Proven competence in repairs and overhauls
- Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued
- Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, BPW
- Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided) (tool allowance paid)
- Basic computer skills
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic
