Overview

Join to apply for the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic role at Ventia. Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand. This role is connected to the Defence Maintenance Contract, based at Bandiana, and involves maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy military vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
  • Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
  • Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection
  • Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
Qualifications
  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
  • Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
  • Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
  • Australian Citizen and ability to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
Benefits
  • $50.78 an hour inclusive of allowances
  • Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays
