Flourish Australia – Team Leader - Employment

Flourish Australia are starting up new services with the Inclusive Employment Australia program and we are looking for a Team Leader - Employment to help oversee these new services in Caringbah.

The position available is:

- Ongoing full-time (76 hours/fortnight)
- Based on-site in Caringbah
- Working Monday to Friday
- Level 5 on the Flourish Australia Enterprise Agreement (2018) equivalent to $100,000p.a. - $105,000p.a + Super + Tax Free Benefits

About the Role

The Team Leader – Employment is dedicated to delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented support that empowers participants to achieve employment goals. By guiding and supervising staff, collaborating with employers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and statutory requirements, the Team Leader fosters a positive and supportive environment.

A key feature of the Team Leader - Employment role is to lead by example within the IEA program by taking a hands-on approach to front-line service delivery work, coaching and mentoring team members and thereby supporting and developing the skills of lower or similar classified staff.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be required (but not limited) to:

- Lead employer engagement at allocated sites, including ensuring all workplaces meet safety requirements and that the relevant Award conditions and pay is applied to participants.
- Where applicable, agree with employers and prepare wage subsidy requests for Managers, Employment to submit.
- Develop and monitor the performance of other IEA staff in relation to employment anchors, outcomes, post placement support, and all other requirements of the program.
- Provide day-to-day supervision and support of lower or similar classified employees.
- Be proactive in delivering IEA program services that are recovery-focused, and strengths based.

Selection Criteria

- A relevant qualification related to the requirements of the IEA program delivery (as recognised by Flourish Australia).
- At least 3 years demonstrated experience working in disability services, preferably in Disability Employment Services, Inclusive Employment Australia, or similar programs.
- A strong commitment to, and advanced understanding of, recovery-based practice.
- Excellent knowledge of the IEA program requirements as demonstrated by high performance in previous roles.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a mental health issue.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role and in providing support and/or supervision to lower or similar classified staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of data information management systems.

All appointments with Flourish Australia’s Mental Health Services are subject to an NDIS Worker Screening clearance, a National Criminal History Check, a WWCC, previous employment reference checks, satisfactory Australian residency status and other background checks.

Please note - Successful candidates must maintain a Class C driver’s license and proof of comprehensive insurance must be provided when required. You may be directed to use your private motor vehicle in the course of performing your duties when an organisational pool motor vehicle is unavailable. You will receive the Travelling Transport and Fares Allowance when using your private vehicle for work related purposes.
