Overview

Vestas Wind are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Procurement Specialist to join our collaborative Procurment team in Melbourne.

The Construction & Transport Procurement team is responsible for the strategic sourcing of all goods and services for the delivery of our wind energy solutions to our customers.

Through early engagement of our supply chain partners, we secure the best value engineered solution for the development and execution of our EPC projects. With a cross functional team of stakeholders, we strategically develop partnerships to enable sustainable growth and drive value for our end customers.

Responsibilities

- Lead the sourcing process throughout the bidding process, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and competitiveness of the supply base

- Drive package negotiations and develop and implement value-adding commercial strategies

- Manage the contract closing process, including document drafting and stakeholder approvals via the ERP system

- Build supply market intelligence and ensure that the right supply base is available to enable our sustainable growth strategy

- Ensure that all cost out and value creation opportunities are identified, and that relevant risk assessments are completed and acted upon to reduce risk.

Qualifications

- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, law or finance

- 8+ years of procurement, commercial or project management experience, ideally within the energy industry or the construction industry

- Expert in crane contract drafting and negotiation

- Strong knowledge of ANZ crane market and latest lifting technologies

- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

- Advanced MS Office skills including data analysis

- Well-rounded ERP (SAP/Ariba) user

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Able to manage complex supplier relationships

- Well organized and disciplined approach

- Initiative and creativity in finding solutions
