WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE
This is your chance to lead the heartbeat of campus life. From Welcome Fest and cultural festivals to revues, debates, and flagship student events, you’ll design experiences that thousands of students look forward to every year.
You’ll combine strategic thinking, creativity, and hands‑on leadership – building a calendar of events that’s inclusive, sustainable, and unforgettable.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead and inspire a passionate team delivering events, programs, and festivals across campus.
- Oversee flagship student experiences including Revues, Palladian Cup, Welcome Fest, and more.
- Develop and manage the annual Student Experience Calendar, ensuring events are inclusive and responsive to the diverse student community.
- Deliver Tier 1 events in partnership with USU teams, University stakeholders, and student leaders.
- Gather feedback, track outcomes, and introduce new initiatives to keep events fresh, relevant, and exciting.
- Manage budgets, reporting, and identify new income opportunities to keep programs sustainable.
- Build strong relationships with students, faculties, venues, and the University community to ensure seamless delivery.
- Ensure all events are safe, compliant, and aligned with USU’s strategic goals.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years’ experience in event and project management (student, youth, or community focus ideal).
- Proven ability to manage large-scale events from concept to delivery.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team.
- Strong budget management and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A creative, solutions‑focused mindset – you thrive on improving, innovating, and adapting.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends during major events.
