Overview

We are in need of casual Direct Support Workers in the Moreton Bay Region including North Lakes, Redcliffe and other surrounding areas. If you enjoy challenging but rewarding work and share our vision of an inclusive society, we will provide the training, supportive culture, and connections to help you to make the most of this opportunity.

We are offering a flexible 24/7 roster in North Lakes and surrounding areas. Open to experience & those entering the industry, casual & part time roles. CPL workers now covered by the SCHADS award.

Responsibilities

- As a Direct Support Worker, assist with matters of personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing and more
- Administer medications
- Assist with transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets and provide general mobility support
- Perform domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation
- Engage with the community, such as attending doctors appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of the client’s choice

- Great communicators dedicated to providing the best service for every person
- Excellent listeners who can work autonomously, as well as under direction and within a team
- Calm and confident in different environments and aware of professional boundaries
- Ability to provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity
- Belief in an inclusive society and value client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courage

Before you commence

- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
- Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed
- A Driver/'s License and access to reliable vehicle
- A smartphone with an iOS 13.0+ or Android 6.0+ operating system
