Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and growing a pipeline of long-term customers across sectors such as fleet, finance, and infrastructure. This externally focused role will see you represent a market-leading leasing and asset management product suite, delivered through a trusted national brand.
Your Purpose
- Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed new business targets
- Build strong relationships with CFOs, procurement leaders, and senior decision-makers
- Promote a range of asset and fleet management solutions across B2B and B2C markets
- Collaborate across internal teams and stakeholders to deliver tailored proposals and seamless onboarding
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation through to implementation
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and convert greenfield leads to expand your sales pipeline
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate agreements with senior stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Customer Relations, and Business Services
- Attend industry forums and events to build visibility and source new business
- Monitor and report on pipeline activity, conversions, and cross-sell opportunities
- Maintain compliance with pricing policies and internal approval processes
- Support colleagues across regions (WA, SA) to maximise national growth opportunities
About You
You're an experienced sales professional with a strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for building long-term client relationships. You're self-motivated, results-driven, and thrive in environments where you can think big and execute with focus.
You'll bring:
- 5+ years' experience in B2B strategic sales, ideally in fleet, leasing, or asset management
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of long and short sales cycles
- Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise effectively
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- A tertiary qualification in a business-related field (preferred)
- A proactive, accountable, and team-oriented mindset

- Base salary of $140,000 - $160,000 + super
- OTE +$25,000 for on-target earnings

- Build a strong pipeline and convert 5-10 new deals per year
- Maintain a consistent cadence of 3+ client meetings per week

- Deliver 250+ vehicles ordered or delivered annually
- Be seen as a trusted industry partner and internal team collaborator
