Expression of Interest - Track Renewals Re-Rail Coordinator

Residential / FIFO 8:6 Roster | Long-term Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Track Renewals Re-Rail Coordinator to join the Track Renewals Team of a Tier 1 Mining Company on an ongoing assignment. This site-based role offers the chance to lead the safe and efficient delivery of large-scale rail maintenance works and play a key part in sustaining one of Australia/'s most significant rail networks.

About the Role

As Track Renewals Coordinator, you will provide on-site leadership and coordination of capital maintenance works across re-rail, rail stress management, minor renewal work banks, and verse testing. You will manage multiple contractor teams, drive a strong safety culture, and ensure works are delivered to scope, schedule, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the safe execution of track renewals work banks, ensuring alignment with company standards and statutory obligations.
- Manage and supervise up to 3 contracting teams plus sub-contractors on-site.
- Develop and implement track renewal methodologies in line with industry best practice.
- Provide input into shutdown planning, including design reviews, staging plans, schedules, and resourcing.
- Act as single point of accountability for worksites under your supervision, managing risks and incidents effectively.
- Perform site safety functions: leadership schedules, JHAs, audits, and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with RFQ/SOW requirements, authorise ITPs, and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare permits and communication packages (work permits, alerts, traffic control plans, excavation permits).
- Contribute to continuous improvement and foster a collaborative team culture.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience leading execution work groups (track renewals experience highly regarded).
- Strong safety leadership and risk management capability.
- Process-driven, with the ability to identify issues and coordinate problem solving.
- Experience in 1SAP Work Management desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to adapt to unplanned situations in a controlled and effective manner.
- Team-oriented, energetic, and committed to continuous learning.
