Site-based and hands‑on, you will be contributing to the successful delivery of a newly awarded project.
Reporting to the HSE Manager/ HSE Superintendent, you will be responsible for directing and controlling all activities under your influence to ensure that these activities meet the Health, Safety, Environment and quality expectations of our clients whilst also delivering on time, within budget and to Primero standard.
The point of hire is Perth, Western Australia on a 2/1 FIFO roster.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Understand and communicate Primero HSE procedures and legislative requirements on site in accordance with the project specific HSE Management Plans.
- Undertaking daily HSE inspections and observations on site.
- Play an active role in the delivery of HSE topics in the weekly toolbox and daily pre‑start sessions.
- Assisting with fitness for work requirements and daily welfare checks.
- Coach and guide HSR’s in their legislative HSE requirements.
- Provide support guidance to employees in the creation of risk assessments (JHA’s, Permits)
- Maintaining HSE notice boards.
What you ‘Can do’
- Possess a Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (minimum requirement)
- Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience within the construction industry
- Demonstrated site experience in a similar role
- Hold a current Provide First Aid / CPR certificate
- Experienced with Incident Investigation Training (ICAM/Tap Root)
- Have a OHS Construction Induction White / Blue Card
- Demonstrate the Right to Work in Australia
- Must be able to pass a Pre‑Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen
