What role will you play?

Responsible for mentoring and coaching engineers and aspiring engineering leaders in your teams. Conduct regular feedback sessions on career growth and identify learning opportunities through project work. Lead by example by being hands-on and diving into code when necessary, ensuring high code quality, testing, and security standards.

You will work closely with product managers to ensure the team understands the problems they're solving. Engage with business stakeholders and consider customer impacts when making technical decisions. Conduct respectful and meaningful code reviews to ensure maintainability. Be accountable for the reliability and uptime of applications. Participate in incident management and team roster activities, demonstrating ownership when issues arise.

What you offer

- Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels
- Interest in helping others grow; mentoring less experienced team members
- Relevant experience leading projects from inception to production
- Strong full-stack background in Java and Angular; experience with other languages is a plus
- Solid knowledge in building scalable, maintainable, and low-latency web applications
- Experience refactoring large codebases and sunsetting applications
- Proven ability to tackle complex bug fixes
- Solid understanding of software design, object orientation, and web applications
