Accountant / Senior Accountant - Business Services

Responsibilities:

- Prepare various financial statements in compliance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards,
- Maintain clear and well-organized work papers,
- Oversee junior staff on specific assignments as needed,
- Review completed tax and FBT returns to ensure compliance and identify any potential issues,
- Conduct tax planning for clients,
- Prepare tax returns for different types of entities,
- Handle Business Activity Statements,
- Manage quarterly and annual tax compliance requirements,
- Provide clients with advice on business operations and regulatory matters,
- Assist with general business administration tasks.

Key Skills:

- Collaborative team player, dedicated to supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture,
- CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress),
- 2–3 years of experience in Business Services/Tax (mid-tier firm experience preferred),
- Client-focused with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and building client relationships,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Capable of multitasking and managing both individual and team workloads effectively,
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to personal and professional development,
- Exceptional attention to detail and a hands-on approach to tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Experience with Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and Xero (preferred).
