Full Stack JavaScript Engineer

Overview

Front-End focused, with Full Stack exposure. React, Next.js, Node.js. 4 days in the Office - Perth CBD based.

You’ll be part of a small, engineering-led team building a high-impact product that’s already attracting early adopters and progressing rapidly towards product-market fit. In this role, you’ll work across the full stack with a strong focus on front-end development — shaping responsive, high-performance interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, while also creating scalable APIs and services in Node.js. You’ll have the opportunity to integrate AI-powered and large language model (LLM) features into a platform used by real customers.

Responsibilities

- Designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Building modular, reusable, and testable components that scale as the product expands.
- Collaborating closely with product and design teams to transform ideas into polished, user-focused features.
- Implementing APIs, integrations, and data flows that connect the front end with the back end smoothly.
- Participating in technical design discussions and contributing to architectural decisions.
- Bringing an engineering mindset to a startup environment — owning end-to-end delivery from concept to production.
- Experimenting and iterating rapidly in an environment that values learning, ownership, and quick delivery of value.

Qualifications

- Your passion for working in a startup environment
- Your proven success in developing elegant front end solutions with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, contributing your extensive expertise to technology and product decisions in this field
- Your experience with back end development and willingness to contribute to full-stack coding using Node.js to deliver features or products
- Your appreciation for clean code, testing, and performance optimisation.
