Overview

Scolmore are looking for a Data Quality Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires previous experience working with PIM (Product Information Management) systems. The role is responsible for ensuring that our product, marketing, and technical data is consistent, accurate, and up to date and will be central to how this data supports our internal systems, customer platforms, and online presence. Working closely with the Technical, Commercial, Marketing, IT, and Development teams, acting as a bridge between departments to ensure data moves smoothly from concept through to live product. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, confidence using Excel, and a background in structured data environments ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or ecommerce.

Main Duties

- Owning and managing product data entry within our advanced Product Information Management (PIM) system.
- Becoming a super-user of our PIM system, driving its use and acting as a beacon of knowledge within the company.
- Using your keen analytical skills to manipulate and cleanse data, ensure our data assets are clean, comprehensive, and reliable.
- Pioneering the implementation of a Data Governance framework across Scolmore Group, setting standards for data quality and integrity.
- Working with internal and external customers to facilitate continuous process improvements, enhancing our performance and user experience.
- Building in-depth knowledge of Scolmore products. We will support you with an extensive training program on our products.
- Creating and managing output data channels to facilitate smooth communication and data transfer to both internal and external customers.

Skills and Experience

Essential

- Experience in recording and maintaining complex data sets with strong attention to detail.
- PIM System Experience (Product Information Management)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Communication skills that are exceptional, enabling you to articulate ideas and information clearly, whether in writing or verbally.
- Confident working with large datasets
- Experienced in recording and maintaining complex data sets
- Previous experience with a PIM system, that underlines your strong foundation in data management.
- You are self-driven, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous learning and skill development.
- You're a team player but can work independently when needed and have a proven track record of reliably following instructions.
- Microsoft Excel skills that are top-notch, and you're comfortable using complex formulas and manipulating large data sets.

Desirable

- Experience working in a product-led business
- Understanding of ERP and product data structures
- Previous experience working in manufacturing or distribution
- Knowledge of product attribute standards and industry codes
