Overview

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Governance Lead to manage their dedicated team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Director, Lead Consultant for Clinical Governance and the MAC Chair in driving clinical excellence, quality and will be the lead for patient safety & risk management.

Main duties

To work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Director, Lead Consultant for Clinical Governance and the MAC Chair in driving clinical excellence, quality and the Clinical Governance Framework within the hospital. To take an active role in ensuring compliance with all hospital regulatory requirements and implementation of the Patient Safety and Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). Undertake incident analysis and identify barriers to good practice/areas of concern and liaise with Heads of Departments to develop remedial actions and to support in the embedding and maintenance of good practice. To display and promote excellent clinical leadership in all areas of the hospital. To promote excellent customer service throughout the hospital, facilitating and co-ordinating corporate and local customer service initiatives and providing appropriate support to colleagues.

Job responsibilities

Quality Governance Lead/Manager | Private Hospital | Full time, Cambridge | Mon - Fri

Responsibilities include:

- To work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Director, Lead Consultant for Clinical Governance and the MAC Chair in driving clinical excellence, quality and the Clinical Governance Framework within the hospital.
- To ensure compliance with all hospital regulatory requirements and implement the Patient Safety and Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
- Undertake incident analysis, identify barriers to good practice/areas of concern, and liaise with Heads of Departments to develop remedial actions and support embedding and maintenance of good practice.
- Demonstrate and promote clinical leadership and customer service across the hospital.

To provide strong leadership for all aspects of the role, initiate optimal clinical standards, manage business objectives, and strive to be the leading private healthcare provider in the locality. Facilitate effective and timely communication within teams, build relationships with all customer groups, and deliver actions.

Who we’re looking for

- Registered with NMC or HCPC is essential
- Relevant clinical qualification essential
- Previous experience at senior level
- Experience of clinical audits
- Experience of Root Cause Analysis
- Recent PSIRF training
- Quality Improvement (QI) or Project Management qualification/training
- Computer literate with strong Excel skills and ability to transfer data into charts
- Good facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collate data, interpret data, report writing and minute taking

Qualifications

- Nursing degree or equivalent
