Every day makes a difference—help others grow their independence.
Are you passionate about helping people live their best lives? Our HornsbyDay Program is looking for motivated, compassionate Permanent Part-time Support Workers who thrive in dynamic settings and want to make a meaningful impact every day.
About Northcott:
At Northcott, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live life their way. As a not-for-profit disability service provider, we support people with disability to explore possibilities, achieve goals, and live the life they choose.
With more than 90 years of experience and a strong presence across NSW, QLD and the ACT, Northcott is one of Australia’s largest and most trusted disability service organisations. Every year, we provide people with a disability, along with their families and carers, with personalised and empowering support.
We are a registered NDIS provider employing more than 3,000 dedicated staff across metropolitan and regional locations.
Before applying for a role at Northcott, we encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our mission to ensure our values and culture are a good fit for you: Our Story.
What I Will Be Doing:
As a Support Worker in Northcott’s Hornsby team, I will empower customers to live as independently and confidently as possible, supporting them to develop life skills, pursue study or work opportunities, and stay actively connected to their community.
I will:
- Support customers in their day-to-day life, helping them build confidence and independence.
- Facilitate engaging group activities such as art, music, drama, cooking or travel training.
- Facilitate with the Work and Study Skills program.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with customers and their families.
- Work collaboratively with customers who have intellectual disabilities, autism, and some physical disabilities.
- Implement and review Individual Program Plans, ensuring customers are supported to achieve their personal goals.
- Empower support staff to communicate effectively with customers, using an individualised approach tailored to each person’s needs.
- Use my skills to promote inclusion, independence, and community participation.
- Be flexible to work on a rotating roster, typically from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, with extended hours on Thursdays (until 6:45 pm) and opportunities for Friday night or Saturday shifts.
As a Northcott Support Worker, I’ll provide personalised, meaningful support in a vibrant and inclusive day program setting. No two days will ever be the same — one day, I might be leading a creative workshop or supporting a life skills session, and the next, helping someone take another step toward their independence and personal goals.

At Northcott, we prioritise your well-being and success. Our team enjoys a wide range of benefits designed to support work-life balance, financial well-being, and personal growth:
- 5 Weeks Annual Leave – Enjoy extra time off to rest, recharge, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
