About the role

Join a team that places a strong emphasis on safety and has a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes. Based at our Mackay site, this role entails day shift work from 7 am to 3 pm or 8 am – 4 pm, with overtime available and paid at penalty rates.

Pay rate $36.77 - $37.69 dependent on experience, plus a $12,000 per annum remote living allowance.

Responsibilities

- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operating forklifts, excavators and loaders
- Performing manual handling tasks
- Maintaining cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
- Conducting daily checks on mobile plant
- Adhering to safety procedures at all times

We are looking for individuals who value teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement and who are comfortable working at a steady pace to contribute to the team's success.

Qualifications

- A valid forklift license
- Experience operating an excavator and loader
- HR truck licence, desirable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment
- A positive mindset with a general willingness to learn
- Passion for working as part of a collaborative team

InfraBuild is Australia’s leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, making steel using our electric arc furnaces. We provide solutions for commercial and residential construction, large scale and nation-building infrastructure as well as our primary producers and rural sectors. Our recycling business is an industry leader in the supply of processed ferrous scrap (steel) products for the electric arc furnaces at our domestic steel mills in Sydney and Melbourne.
