- Provide high quality patient care in a non-corporate setting

Remuneration

- Excellent remuneration to the right candidate: for Non-VR 60% with potential increases for FRACGP

- Absolute flexibility, 12 month contract with an annual review

Practice Information

The Bluewater Medical Practice is a private practice owned by the practice principal and is a teaching practice established 1996. There are currently 9 full-time/part-time GPs. Some GPs privately bill all patients, some bulk bill. There is freedom in billing and working hours. The practice has Pathology, Pharmacy, and Allied Health practitioners, with sessions by a Cardiologist and a Surgeon. An operating theatre for procedures in local anaesthetic only. A team of experienced nurses covers all opening hours. Located in the fast growing Northern Beaches suburb of Townsville. Townsville has a population of approximately 180,000 and is the Capital of North Queensland. James Cook University has a Medical School. Excellent private and public schools. Townsville offers opportunities for GP partners with an affordable, relaxed lifestyle.

Position Description

Full time or part time General Practitioners needed. No obstetrics or anaesthetic skills are necessary, but special skills or interests are welcome. High percentage of earnings. Structured teaching program for OTDs preparing for FRACGP is provided by the practice principal. Teaching practice with allied health support; preferably FRACGP, but overseas GPs are welcome. The principal will provide supervision and preparation for college exams. Using Best Practice. No after hours, obstetrics or anaesthetics, but special skills are welcomed, especially in skin surgery. Our practice serves the Northern Beaches suburbs of Townsville and the farming community between Townsville and Ingham.

After Hours: All after-hours services are provided by the practice principal.

Candidate Profile

- Full Time General Practitioner – 10 sessions

- AHPRA registered with a minimum of 3 years medical work experience
