About The Opportunity
Programmed are looking for multiple Handypersons to join our dedicated team, committed to delivering exceptional maintenance services for our valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity for secure, long-term employment with the added bonus of working outdoors while earning a steady income. This position is responsible for providing on-site repairs and maintenance for park infrastructure, playgrounds, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively provide on-site repairs and maintenance for park infrastructure, playgrounds, and facilities.
- Regularly inspect and audit park infrastructure, playgrounds, and facilities.
- Compile material lists and obtain quotes for necessary repairs and replacements.
- Maintain a professional presentation while working in public parks and around park users.
- Conduct general trade work along with both preventative and proactive maintenance across park facilities.
- Undertake proactive maintenance tasks, including painting and staining programs, fence and bollard repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Perform material top-ups in paths, BMX tracks, and playground soft fall areas.
- Utilize a wide range of hand tools and machines necessary for park maintenance and infrastructure.
- Adhere to established safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe park environment.
About You
To join our team, ideally, you will have a trade background and be mechanically minded with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have:
- Level 2 or 3 playground license (advantageous)
- Auditing experience
- Trade qualifications (highly regarded)
- Working with Children's Check
- Ability to work with power tools including grinding, drilling, cutting, etc.
- Experience or ability to work with timber, steel, and plastic in park settings
- Experience in a broad range of handyman/carpentry skills
- Execute work that is of a high standard
- An innovative and practical approach to maintenance problem solving
- A strong commitment to safety for yourself and others
- Proven experience completing maintenance works in parks or similar environments
- Machinery/Equipment licenses as required
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to use Smartphones and iPads
- Demonstrate a professional approach and patience when interacting with park visitors
