TYPE OF WORK: 100% Small Animal

HOURS: Full Time

JOB NO: 222,208LH2

- Nurturing workplace
- Close-knit team
- Independently owned

An independently owned, high-quality practice in Melbourne’s southeast is seeking a vet nurse to join their dynamic and close-knit team.

The clinic is looking for an all-rounder who is confident both in nursing and at reception, and who values being part of a close-knit team that shares a commitment to excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will be working in a custom-built clinic that is a GOLD ISFM cat-friendly accredited practice. The caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and wildlife, offering plenty of variety.

The role provides a good work-life balance with no on call, Monday to Friday hours and one in four Saturdays with a rostered day off that week.

Nurses benefit from one-on-one mentoring with experienced nurses and vets, as well as the opportunity to learn from visiting surgical and ultrasound specialists. The clinic also invests in professional and personal development, including support from an on-staff organisational psychologist.

The workplace is nurturing, collaborative and values-driven, with a culture founded on trust, respect, professionalism and growth. Regular check-ins, coaching and team alignment activities ensure that every team member has a voice and is supported to thrive. The veterinary team is passionate about providing the best possible care to patients and their owners, and they are seeking someone who shares that same dedication.

The clinic is located in a southeastern suburb of Melbourne, just a 45-minute drive from the CBD. The area offers a blend of urban convenience and rural charm, with easy access to parks, wineries, and the picturesque Mornington Peninsula.

SHOULD YOU WISH TO ENQUIRE OR APPLY FOR THIS ROLE, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

– You must hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or an equivalent qualification.

– You must have a minimum of three years of paid, full-time experience as a veterinary nurse.
