About the role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our Board Governance team in the Ministerial, Board and Executive Services (MBES) Directorate at NESA.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of administrative and support services by administrative service staff to ensure the business needs of the team are met.
- Monitor and address complex and sensitive enquiries, including escalations, to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Develop, implement, review and update administrative systems, processes and policies to ensure compliance with agency standards.
- Manage and coordinate the collection and collation of information, prepare reports on business unit performance, and recommend improvements to efficiency, cost management and service delivery.

You bring knowledge of governance practices and experience providing secretariat support to committees, working parties or advisory groups. With a professional and composed approach, you handle sensitive or contentious issues while proactively seeking solutions and driving efficiencies.

Your background may include governance and secretariat functions, business administration, project management, procurement or government processes. A strong understanding of the machinery of government and awareness of current and emerging issues in education will be highly regarded.

- Demonstrated knowledge of governance and experience in performing secretariat duties.
- Understanding of current and emerging education trends and issues.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Experience managing competing demands and adapting quickly to new information to achieve objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to shared goals while managing individual deliverables.
