At Melbourne Airport, we’re building something remarkable. With significant growth underway, our environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and full of opportunity. We’re proud to create a workplace that reflects the energy of our Airport and the people who pass through it every day.
We’re now looking for a highly capable Office Manager to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
About the role:
The Office Manager is a key connector across our organisation, responsible for ensuring the daily operations of our offices run seamlessly. With Melbourne Airport teams spread across five distinct locations — the Integrated Operations Centre, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Building 219 and Building 59 — this role plays a vital part in keeping our people supported and our environments functional, professional, and welcoming.
You’ll lead a small team and oversee office administration, reception services, shared services vendors, facilities coordination and internal processes, always striving to make improvements where you see opportunities. If you thrive on variety, enjoy supporting others, and have a knack for getting things done efficiently — this role is for you.
Explore how we are thinking big with exciting projects like the Third Runway, state-of-the-art terminals, and thriving business park developments. You can also learn more about life at Melbourne Airport – our culture, values, and what makes us unique at https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/corporate/our-culture-and-values. Join us in shaping the future of aviation as we propel Melbourne Airport towards becoming Australia's favourite Airport destination.
Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day office operations across all office locations at Melbourne Airport, ensuring a consistent experience across sites
- Manage reception services and office administration, including rostering, mail, and visitor experience
- Coordinate office supplies, stationery and uniform programs, including procurement and inventory control
- Lead office accommodation and relocation logistics, including seating plans and workspace changes
- Be the go-to for facilities queries — repairs, cleaning, access, security passes and WHS compliance
- Manage contracts with shared services vendors such as cleaning, travel and stationery providers
- Collaborate with IT on tech-related needs, including AV systems and meeting room tools
- Drive internal office processes and workplace improvements, championing a positive, inclusive and professional culture
The successful candidate will have:
- The ideal candidate will have superior organisational and problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and people management capabilities
- Proven experience in office administration or management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, or similar tools.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
We understand that not everyone will feel they meet all of these 100%. However, if you feel you have the attitude and aptitude to grow within our team, we invite you to apply and have a conversation with us about this position.
